Pre & Post Autism & ADHD Diagnosis Support

Wondering whether autism or ADHD might help explain some of the challenges you or your child are experiencing? Waiting for an assessment, or adjusting to a diagnosis? Wherever you are on this path, I can support you.
Together, we explore lived experience, strengths and difficulties, identify what helps and what gets in the way, and shape the environments, support and skills that promote wellbeing and quality of life for you or your child. I help people and their families make sense of how neurodivergence may shape a person's experience of the world, while looking beyond diagnostic labels to understand their unique wellbeing profile: what helps them feel safe, regulated, and able to thrive; their strengths and abilities; and where skills gaps may exist. We also look at the wider context in which difficulties arise, the relationships, physical environments and demands around the person. Understanding how these factors interact helps identify what may need to change around the person to improve their quality of life, and which skills they may benefit from developing.
Specialist Support for Families
Hitting. Intense outbursts. Daily routines that feel impossible. Walking on eggshells in your own home.
Sometimes things at home become so difficult that you simply don't know what to do anymore. Your child may be hitting, hurting their siblings or others, becoming extremely distressed, refusing everyday activities, or experiencing intense and unpredictable outbursts. Family life may feel dominated by managing crises and constantly walking on eggshells.
This support is for families in this place — with or without a diagnosis.
Together, we work to understand what may be driving and maintaining the behaviours that challenge you, what your child may be communicating, and the links between their support needs, environments and skillset. We identify the skills and supports that may be needed — whether around communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs or executive functioning — alongside changes to the environments, relationships and expectations around them. Together, we work towards greater relational safety, more effective and positive communication, better crisis prevention and response, and better meeting the wellbeing needs of everyone in the family. This work is grounded in the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework.

Positive Behaviour Support Assessments & Reports

A clear, evidence-based holistic picture of what a person needs to thrive.
Independent Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) assessments and reports for SEND Tribunal and Court of Protection proceedings, providing a formulation of complex support needs for autistic people and people with learning disabilities.
Why? - This informs evidence-based recommendations for person-centred support that promotes wellbeing, safety and quality of life, and gives families a solid foundation to advocate for the care and support their loved one deserves. How? - Using a systemic and contextual lens, the assessment considers the interconnected influences of the person’s life story, health, communication, sensory, psychosocial and learning profiles, alongside their social and physical environments. It moves beyond a focus on the individual alone, towards a holistic understanding of their presentation within the wider context in which it occurs, and of what they need to thrive. Who? - Wherever possible, I meet the person and listen to their lived experience and of the support they receive, and to what they feel they need and aspire for. In parallel, I speak with the people who know them best, whether family, carers, support staff and professionals, and review existing reports and records. When possible, I observe directly in the environment where they live. This helps me build a comprehensive picture of who the person is, the life they have, and the life they and their loved ones hope for. Framework - My recommendations follow the Capable Environment model, an evidence-based approach within Positive Behaviour Support. It aims to create the conditions in which a person’s physical, emotional and social needs are met, so they can thrive, enjoy a good quality of life and experience fewer difficulties.
